I am Kevin. I tried to mod, following countless tutorials, but all failed. I hope ModCrafters can spark something that helps me.

Re: New? Introduce yourself here!

Hello. I'm Greatfrito. I'm a mediocre Starcraft player, at best. I've never done modding before. I'm easily distracted.

However, after perusing numerous tutorials, I think I've got the general gist of how this works. I'm probably not going to work on anything "major," "balanced," or "that other people will like" - just stuff that amuses me to some degree.

And now, off to see if I can find someone to explain -how- to make the Cloak ability work on a unit :P .

I am Falchion, current seventh-in-place modder compared to IskatuMesk, Lord Agammenon, Excalibur, Corbo, Polaris and Voyager. But, of course, I'm not so incompetent either, I just... take somewhat long to continue.

As proof of my yet-to-be-proved expertise, check my graphics in this abandoned mod thread: http://www.staredit.net/topic/4354/

Heh, ok, sure.... Welcome, I hope you can come out with something to prove that statement.

Edit: And no offence to them, but why are Corbo and Excalibur on that list?
This was generated by a program of mine that had a bug. I thought it was pretty crazy.

I'm back. So I welcome myself in and I'm hoping I can finish my secret project before SC2 comes, so look for that.

Re: New? Introduce yourself here!

Hi, I'm Mr_Grey, I've come here from Staredit Network.

I was interested in SC modding since I've played this game, but I haven't enough time and patience to get required knowledge and tools to start do something until end of 2006. Most things what I know, I've learned myself, from scratch, evolving together with consecutively released modding tools :) Most what I do is experimenting 'is it can be done' and making things that will make SC even better to play (IMHO, it appears later to be just more complex ;P)

I've returned to modding after two years of hard (not related with computers) work, and I plan -at least- to release final version of my GrayCraft mod - strange hybrid of SC/SC2 with my own ideas. There also one small project on my hdd that will bring some notable RTS back, this timw on classic SC engine. Then, we'll see.

Anyway, I hope that we'll keep SC modding scene evolving.

I have understanding of Iscript, I can handle most existing SC tools, sometimes (when I have a lot of time) do some gfx.

Re: New? Introduce yourself here!

Hey there. Names Hangingdeath. Been modding for a while, nothing too big, mostly just some Datediting and such. Got IceCC to work on my computer about a year ago, so am currently experimenting with that.

I have been modding for about 2 years, but I have never really gotten into it fully. That is, until I tried some of the bigger mods out there. (Namely STF, AO, and ADAstras.) I was blown away as to the power of modding, and have ever since then been picking away at a project of my own.

I am also a big map maker. Love making any kind of maps to test my mods on.

I have experience in C++, but I don't know enough to effectively write complex plugins.

I'm not a big forum user, but I figured to try my hand and put this up here. Hopefully, I will have some real work to show you guys on how i'm doing on my mod.

Well, I figure this is the best place to put this: I'm back and will actually finish something in a few weeks.

Re: New? Introduce yourself here!

I'm the guy responsible for SCSharp (http://www.github.com/toshok/scsharp). I recently started working on it again, and found that most of the sites I had been using for format/internals docs are long gone, so I'd like to thank you guys for putting up the wiki (especially file formats and the like).

I'll likely be asking lots of questions and/or helping out with the wiki if I can.
